gave me a SMENA 8M camera.
I photographed what ran.
I photographed what jumped.
I photographed what lay still.

I learned.
A good photograph is a moment of life.
It is in the face. It is in the body. It is true.
I do not take pictures.
I hold a moment.

I know tomorrow we will be different.
The light will be different.
The story will be new.
I make the photograph.
You see yourself. You are true.
You can show the world.
It is good to have a record.
